The following committees meet regularly to plan ways to support the shelter and engage the community, and we would welcome your ideas!  For more information, please contact one of the respective committee chairs:

• Adoptions – coordinates themed adoption events and off-site adoption days at pet supply stores or local businesses (Contact Marie or Pam)
• Public Awareness – coordinates programs that bring shelter awareness and the importance of responsible pet ownership (including spay/neuter) to the community (Contact Bob)
• Work Plan/Shelter Needs - develops a work plan and budget and communicates with the Shelter Supervisor and city management about building improvements or general shelter programs that would enhance the quality of life of the animals staying at the shelter (Contact Anne)
• Fundraising – coordinates the raising of monies to support the mission of Friends in supporting NACC, whether for direct shelter projects/programs, marketing of the shelter, or spay/neuter initiatives to reduce the number of animals entering the shelter system.  Outlets for fundraising include online donations, sponsorship levels, community/business affiliation programs, corporate donations, bequeathed gifts, and grant-writing for programs (Contact Kathryn)
